Coronavirus (COVID-19): Critical business status for CF UK

Dear Colleague,

Firstly, thank you for your continued support as we manage our way through the many and varied challenges posed by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.  I appreciate this remains an uncertain time for us all, but I want you to know that your partnership is greatly appreciated.

Following the Government’s announcement last evening regarding movement restrictions (on which we expect further clarifications in the coming days), and our communications with central Government, we can confirm that CF Fertilisers UK Ltd. has been granted Critical Business Status. As such we are able to keep producing to our normal product range and timescales.

Safety is our number one priority.  It is the first plank of our business culture and applies to our own people and to those that work with us.  So, we are, and will, do everything we can to keep our plants working safely and to this aim our staff are either working from home or on the plants as required.

We have re-organised our working patterns to protect against the pandemic and remain operational.

We have been liaising with senior local government officials to ensure that the regional police forces are aware of our status and will continue to facilitate the free movement of people, goods and services to and from our UK sites.

Much of our business involves putting the supply jigsaw together with our partners, from inputs to manufacturing, through production to sales and distribution.  We are working with all our partners to ensure that this keeps going and that customers and end users get what they require from us in a safe and timely manner.

We will update you as the landscape changes.  In the meantime we reiterate - we are striving to meet our customer’s needs, with safety our paramount concern.

Kind Regards,

Sam Bell
